Educate not Relocate!
Let’s face it, just like children, parrots can be a challenge at times. And just as with children, it goes much better for all involved when we have the tools to deal with any given situation. Many problems can be resolved with education, understanding and a bit of discipline on everyone’s part.
Our educational outreach is designed to teach people about birds. Using every means at our disposal, we seek to minimize problems through education and teaching people about the natural behavior of birds.
There is a lot to know about our feathered friends. They are very different in their core behaviors than dogs or cats. They nest, they get hormonal, they hide illness, and they suffer very real heartbreak. They scream. Different species have different needs. That’s why everyone should do their homework before they adopt a bird.
We feel strongly that an educated parrot owner is a powerful force for good in the life of their bird. Future problems can be avoided, and a long term, rewarding relationship can blossom.
